Welcome aboard! We’re Claire and Jeff, two adventure-loving souls who traded in the stability of suburban life for the unpredictability of the open sea.

Omelette Master & Captain
Jeff is the one at the helm - both of the sails and the omelettes. With years of sailing experience, he thrives on the adventure of taking life one wave at a time. Whether navigating tricky waters or perfecting breakfast, he knows that sailing requires a balance of patience, preparation, and plenty of humor.
He’s the one keeping things on course - literally and figuratively. His passion for sailing is matched only by his love of good food, and through Breakfast at Sea, he’s here to share the stories, challenges, and beauty of life on the water - alongside Claire and some seriously tasty breakfasts.
Claire
Espresso Queen & First Mate
Claire is the resident coffee wizard, ensuring every morning starts off right with a perfectly brewed espresso. While she didn’t grow up sailing, the freedom of life on the water quickly won her over. She brings a light-hearted (and highly caffeinated) energy to Breakfast at Sea, always eager to dive into the details of boat life.
When she’s not behind the camera, Claire is perfecting her coffee game or dreaming about the next place to drop anchor. She’s always up for a good chat about sailing, food, and everything that makes life on the water special.
Our Story: From Suburbs to Sailing
We met in Florida, a little north of St. Augustine and lived there for quite a few years. It was a wonderful place to live, but we eventually realized we were longing for something more. After perfecting our custom-built house and fixing up a 27’ sailboat, we decided to make a huge leap - sell everything, say goodbye to our suburban comforts, and live the dream on a 46-foot sailboat, which we named Nara.
We’ve had our share of challenges (who hasn’t on a boat?), but the ups have been incredible. From the quiet mornings at sea to the wild adventures we’ve had together, it’s been the kind of journey we want to share with others.
This is just our story, but there are thousands of other sailors out there with incredible tales of their own. We can't wait to connect with them, hear their adventures, and share their stories with all of you!
